Robert is offering two workshops. The first workshop is on basic lighting. This workshop is for any photographer just getting started with lighting. This class will enable you to feel confident in any lighting situation.

The second is on speedlight/flash. He will start with the basics and work up to the advanced settings on your speedlight. This class is a must for aspiring wedding photographers and any photographer looking to take their photography to the next level. You will learn the basics of how to work your flash – from manual to TTL, to dragging the shutter to hi-speed sync. He will cover how to make your on-camera flash images look amazing. We will also explore taking the flash off-camera.

After this workshop, you will never look at your flash the same way again!

Topics to be covered include: understanding the dreaded light ratios, including what they are and how you can use them to enhance your portraits; lighting a portrait with one light to multiple lights; how to use scrims and reflectors to enhance outdoor lighting; matching studio strobes with ambient light; the proper way to use a light meter; light shaping tools – which ones should you use and why; defining the five light patterns and when to use them; basic posing for one person to group photos, and more!
