FANTASY FOOTBALL VALUE fantasy season especially at the beginning of the year. I see it all the time but drafters tend to relax and mellow out a bit after they get their top three or four players. Theres a certain comfort level they get in at that point and have a tendency to make lazy choices specifically drafting players that did well in past drafts or have high name value. Dont fall into this trap my loyal FLiP-ites. While we cant physically wake you out of this slumber period unless of course the was right we can help point you in the right direction with our analysis. Based on our mock drafts mixed in with some helpful ADP rankings we give you some of our value draft tips hints on several players. GREATVALUE Marshawn Lynch RB Seattle Seahawks It may be a bit strange to list Lynch as a great value considering he has an overall ADP currently of 1.10 but we feel he represents tremendous value as the 10th pick overall. He rushed for 1306 yards and scored 13 TDs last season. He is a bit long in the tooth for a running back at 29 but he hasnt shown any signs of decline. His numbers should be equal or very close to last season especially with Jimmy Graham now taking pressure off of him in the offense. Take Lynch any spot after the 4th pick. We like the returns on him at that point. BY JAY SCHUSTER JAYSHOE78 Fantasy football value isnt everything its the only thing. Jay Schuster with a huge assist from the great Vince Lombardi I really cant stress enough just how important getting high value is in a fantasy football draft. Its nearly impossible to win without getting above average to good value in the first four rounds of your draft. Example Being from Boston I love watching Tom Brady insert Deflategate joke here. I think hes the greatest quarterback of all time. Being a Brady fan and knowing his legacy it should be difficult for me to pass him up if hes there when Im drafting in the 1st or 2nd round. While it would be nice to have him on my team my draft would be completely destroyed if I did that. Brady is still a good player and QB but he is horrendous value in the first two rounds with an average draft position ADP of 7.09 i.e. 7th round 9th pick in a 10 team draft. I would be kissing my season goodbye before it began. With that said any idiot with an NFL draft magazine or someone who can hop on Yahoo or ESPN should be able to figure out who to pick early in a fantasy football draft. As important as rounds one through four are real fantasy gurus know that the gems and winners of these leagues come out of rounds five through nine and free agency.
