www.flipmagazine.netMay2016 M arch was the first annual Silicon Valley Comic Con co-hosted by the one-and-only Woz Steve Wozniak and comic book legend Stan Lee. With over 60000 attendees over the weekend the Con was a huge suc- cess and FLiP was there to cover it and bring it here for you. It all kicked off with Imperial Stormtroopers marching in Woz to the main stage and to the big reveal of Madame Tussauds San Franciscos Steve Wozniak wax figure. The Woz was chosen by public vote to be the next Silicon Valley innovator to be immortalized in wax. Tussauds artists spent two hours taking over 250 measurements of Steve and then went back to London and the team spent the next 4 months making his wax figure just right. The brand new 59 wax figure is valued at approximately 350000 After the welcome speech the Con was off and running. Our first visit was to the vendors hall chock-full of some truly talented artists and businesses. There were groups building a live life-size Iron Man suit made out of Legos. There were authors and artists and cosplay models doing signings and selling their goods.
